Online magazine CELLOPHANELAND* has relaunched with a brand new look and content. The online magazine unwraps the best of arts and culture, food and travel, style, wellness, and conversations from around the world. It was founded in 2010 by British Writer and Editor, Julie Eagleton.

Financial Times
Eric Platt has been appointed US Markets Editor at the Financial Times. Eric has worked for the FT in various roles since 2013, most recently as US Mergers & Acquisitions Correspondent. He is based in New York and can be found tweeting at @EricGPlatt

Liverpool Echo
Lauren Wise is now a Court Reporter for the Liverpool Echo. Lauren, who was previously Senior Live News Reporter for Cheshire Live, can be found tweeting at @Laurenwise

Mother&Baby
Emily Thorpe is now a Digital Writer for Mother&Baby and Yours online at Bauer Media. Emily was previously a Senior Writer for Mother&Baby magazine, which is moving to a digital and event format.

New Statesman
Patrick Scott will be joining the New Statesman as Data Projects Editor next week. Patrick was previously a Senior Data Journalist at The Daily Telegraph and can be found tweeting at @Patrick_E_Scott

News UK
Stig Abell (@stigabell) has been appointed Executive Editor of News UK’s radio and podcast division, Wireless. Stig has been Editor of the Times Literary Supplement since 2016 and will be succeeded by former Sunday Times Editor Martin Ivens. Stig is Launch Director of Times Radio and will present the breakfast show when the station launches next week. Martin starts his new role on Monday.

Nicole Baddeley has been appointed Digital Content and Features Writer at Newsquest, effective 1 July. Nicole, who graduated this year with a degree in multimedia journalism, can be found tweeting at @nicole_baddeley

The Sunday Times
Dipesh Gadher is now Home Affairs Correspondent at The Sunday Times, where he has previously worked in various roles. Dipesh, who specialises in extremism, can be found tweeting at @DipeshGadher

The publisher of Wanderlust, Where London, London Planner and IN London is launching www.whereandwhen.london on 1 July. The site helps Londoners, tourists and hotel concierges keep track of London’s latest openings and social distancing measures. Freelance Update - Christina Patterson
Writer and Broadcaster Christina Patterson has started a podcast, WORK INTERRUPTED: rethinking work in a pandemic. The first three episodes are with tech guru and bestselling author Margaret Heffernan, philosopher Julian Baggini and ballet dancer and artistic director of the English National Ballet Tamara Rojo. International Media Moves

RTVE
Spanish broadcaster RTVE has now launched the new show ‘Typical Spanish’ on TV channel La 1. Presented by Frank Blanco, previously Presenter of ‘Zapeando’, the show is a competition between celebrities about their knowledge of Spanish culture and traditions. The programme can be also watched online.

Il Messaggero
Guglielmo Nappi is now Editor-in-Chief of the Italian daily Il Messaggero, where he was previously Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Guglielmo is succeeded by former Features Editor Giuseppe Gioffreda.

La Stampa
Massimo Giannini, recently appointed Director of the Italian daily La Stampa, has announced the following changes in the editorial team:

  • Andrea Malaguti, Editor-in-Chief of the print edition, is now also in charge of the online editorial team.
  • Deputy Director Marco Zatterin is now also Economy Editor for both the print and online editions of the newspaper.
  • Paolo Griseri, recently appointed Deputy Director, is now also in charge of the Turin edition and local news.
  • Luca Ferrua has been appointed Turin Online Editor, while Paolo Festuccia has been appointed Rome Online Editor.


New Zealand Herald 
Jenni Mortimer has been appointed the Lifestyle Editor at the New Zealand Herald. She is former Deputy Lifestyle Editor at the Herald and its website nzherald.co.nz. She can be contacted by email.
