Joe Knezevic, managing editor American Iron Magazine (203) 425-8777 x113 joek(at)americanironmag.com www.aimag.com
Joe Knezevic covers Harley-Davidson motorcycles, including new, classic and custom bikes. He is interested in anything related to Harley-Davidson, including motorcycles and related products, particularly domestic products. “We do a lot of features of individuals [and] customized bikes,” he says. “Again, they can be ground-up builds or stock bikes that they’ve modified themselves.”
Knezevic says pitches should include as much information as possible. “Whatever makes it easier for us to put the press release in, the more likely we’ll run it,” he says. Pitch him by e-mail at least three months in advance. He accepts Microsoft Word attachments, but not PDFs. He prefers photos in either TIFF or JPEG format. He discourages immediate follow-up calls but notes, “Follow-ups are good in the sense it keeps it fresh in our minds.” Knezevic advises PR firms to develop a personal relationship with him in order to have the best chance of getting a press release published.
American Iron Magazine is a consumer publication for Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts. Its monthly circulation is approximately 115,000.
