Beat Changes for USA Today Tech Team

USA Today has announced several changes in coverage for reporters on the technology team. Tech team leader and bureau chief, Jon Swartz has picked up the Apple and Hewlett Packard beats and will continue to oversee coverage of enterprise resource planning. Mike Snider will focus on Yahoo and Netflix related stories and Marco della Cava will cover Microsoft, startups and Oracle Results.

Technology reporters Brett Molina, Kaja Whitehouse and Elizabeth Weise have also adjusted their beats. Molina now covers Blackberry and Airbnb in addition to his current beat of gaming companies. Whitehouse focuses on Uber, Airbnb and Lyft. Weise has taken on coverage of Amazon and Intel in addition to computer security.

Additionally, senior tech reporter Jessica Guynn will continue to cover Facebook, Google and Twitter. Tech columnists Edward Baig and Jefferson Graham will both write tech reviews and features as well as hosting Talking Tech. John Shinal will continue to write his column New Tech Economy.
