BuzzFeed has hired reporter Ali Watkins, a former reporter for The Huffington Post, to cover the national security beat. Having served one year with HuffPo, she joined the outlet as an intern. Additionally, Monica Mark, a former West Africa correspondent for The Guardian, will join BuzzFeed’s expanding foreign reporting staff in the same role, based in Senegal. Prior to her Nigerian-based role with The Guardian, she was a freelancer based in the Ivory Coast. Follow domestic and foreign pop culture news on Twitter.
