Traci Shirk
Director, Media & Storytelling at St. Baldrick’s Foundation
As an accomplished media relations professional, Traci has worked in the non-profit sector for nearly a decade helping to drive the conversation around childhood cancer research. As the director of media and storytelling at the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Traci leads all PR strategies designed to raise awareness and drive engagement and revenue. With a talent for story development and positioning, she has executed PR initiatives that have garnered local and national placements.
Mark Plungy
Director of PR at Varian
Mark is responsible for global PR for Varian. In his role he works closely with executives and business units on the development and execution of global PR strategies and programs that support the company’s growth. Over the course of his career, Mark has worked with several leading technology companies building and leading successful global PR programs including, HP, Yahoo, Philips Semiconductors, Altera, Dolby and Cadence Design Systems. Mark earned a BA in Public Relations from San Jose State University.
