Abel Clark joined Cision in 2020 as the Chief Executive Officer, where he oversees the executive management team across all business operations globally. Prior to joining Cision, Abel was CEO and Chairman of TruSight, a start-up backed by leading financial services companies, established to transform third party risk management. Under his leadership the business achieved rapid market adoption and customer expansion, positioning the company for long-term success.
Previously, Abel was the Global Managing Director of Thomson Reuters’ $5.5bn Financial division, serving 40,000 customers in over 100 countries. His focus on strategic growth opportunities, resource reallocation, business simplification and the shift from a product focus to a customer-led platform business resulted in an increased organic growth rate and substantial margin expansion. Prior to his role in the Financial division, Clark ran the $1.8bn trading systems business, Marketplaces, during which time he led the turnaround and re-positioning of the global foreign exchange business to achieve market leadership and sustainable growth. Earlier, he was the Chief Strategy Officer for Thomson Reuters Corporation and member of the Executive Committee.
Abel holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Southampton, England.
With more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience working in consulting and corporate, Prasant Gondipalli oversees Cision's finance and accounting functions as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to Cision, Gondipalli was Senior Vice President of Portfolio Operations at Platinum Equity. He was also Senior Vice President Transformation at Key Energy Services, and Vice President, Corporate Controller/Treasurer/Business Transformation at BlueLine Rental. Before moving to corporate, Gondipalli worked in Alvarez & Marsal’s restructuring practice.
Gondipalli is a CPA and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University. He resides in Chicago with his wife and children.
Maggie Lower joined Cision in 2020 as the Chief Marketing Officer, where she is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the Marketing organization and all of the company’s marketing efforts. In her role, she is focused on scaling leads, growing the Cision brand and driving execution against mid and long-term goals.
Prior to joining Cision, Maggie was the first Chief Marketing Officer at TrueBlue, where she led the company’s digital, brand marketing, innovation, and communications strategies for each of its brands. She has also held previous marketing leadership positions at Alight and Aon Hewitt, and spent 15 years at Bank of America, leading development of go-to-market plans.
In addition to her expertise as a marketing leader, Maggie is also a strong cultural leader, advocating for LGBTQ+ causes and building mentor programs to drive diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She has been recognized by numerous industry associations and peer groups for her work and advocacy.
Maggie is a graduate of Hamilton College and earned her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She currently lives in Chicago and volunteers as member of the Peer 150 Marketing Advisory Board and also as a mentor for The Marketing Academy US, helping develop and nurture top talent within the Marketing, Advertising, and Communications industries.
Paul Dumas is serving as Cision's CHRO where he is responsible for driving Cision's global HR strategy. Dumas is a hands-on HR executive who is passionate about building a culture and purpose that drives strong employee engagement.
Dumas has held numerous senior HR positions over the course of his career and in recent years has been CHRO at Fiserv, Inc and US Anesthesia Partners. At Fiserv, Paul embedded formal diversity and inclusion practices, improved employee engagement and built talent management systems. Paul maintains a strong focus on creating strong hiring processes, talent development practices, change management and employee engagement strategies. He is a seasoned business executive in addition to being an accomplished HR leader and spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer of a successful start-up, Workpays.
Paul holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson & Wales University.
Tim joined Cision in 2020 as Chief Revenue Officer to accelerate the company’s growth globally. He is an experienced Software executive with a demonstrated history of leading in all major global regions. Tim is passionate about growing people to maximize their potential, and has a strong track record of consistent performance in both publicly listed and privately held businesses.
Most recently Tim was at C3.ai, leading their expansion across APAC, and prior to that, was President, Micro Focus Americas, a multi-Billion dollar business, resulting from the merger between HP Software and Micro Focus. Tim has held leadership roles with SAP, Infor, and Manugistics. Prior to working in software, Tim was an Officer in the Australian Army.
Tim is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon, in Australia, and holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
Kristie Scott has more than 20 years of experience as in-house counsel to technology companies. As General Counsel, Scott is responsible for structuring and negotiating a broad range of technology and corporate agreements, including software licenses, partnerships, vendor contracts, and acquisition documents, as well as advising the company and its board of directors on corporate governance issues and M&A.
Prior to joining Cision in 2004 via Vocus, Scott worked as in-house counsel to Aether Systems, Inc., a wireless technology company, and Credit Management Solutions, a credit processing software provider. Prior to receiving her JD, she developed and programmed various software applications in the defense, time management and recording, and credit processing industries.
Scott graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S. in computer science and engineering and earned her JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She lives with her husband and two sons in Maryland.
Heather Bunyard joined Cision in 2021 as the Chief Information Officer where she brings more than 25 years of IT leadership experience. She is responsible for company-wide technology, leveraging innovative digital solutions to create outstanding experiences for employees and customers.
Prior to Cision, Heather was the Chief Information Officer at Global Experience Specialists, where she defined and led the company's technology vision and digital transformation efforts. Prior, she served as the portfolio manager as part of Amgen's Full Potential Program. Heather began her technology career at General Electric holding a variety of leadership roles in GE Capital, GE Lighting and GE Healthcare.
Heather holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
As Chief Product Officer, Jay leads the execution of an innovative product roadmap to ensure that Cision delivers for its customers with confidence and at scale.
Jay Webster brings over 25 years of experience as a leader in adtech, martech and performance marketing. Prior to Cision, Webster was ESVP of Product & Engineering for Valassis Communications, where he led the successful transformation of a traditional media company into the digital age. Additional leadership experiences include: Co-founder and President at Choose Energy; Chief Product Officer for Sharethrough; Division Vice President at Neustar; Chief Product Officer at Quova; GM of Lead Generation at Yahoo!; GM of Performance Marketing; CTO at BlueLithium, VP of Engineering at Adteractive, Inc.; and President and CTO at Fathom Online.
Jay spends his free time as a musician and advocate for music education, serving on the board of Little Kids Rock for over a decade, and he is a competitive mountain bike racer.
Tobias Speckbacher is Cision’s Senior Vice President of Engineering, CTO.
Before joining Cision, he was Senior Vice President of Engineering at Valassis. Previously, Tobias co-founded Truvie (acquired by PayPal), served as VP of Emerging Technologies of Quova (acquired by Neustar), and was Director of Engineering at PayPal. He holds several patents, as well as a degree in Electrical Engineering from Hoehere Technische Lehr (HTL) und Versuchsanstalt, School of Engineering.
Tobias spends his free time with his twin daughters, hiking and kiteboarding.
Michael Laxineta assumed the role of Cision's Head of Global Insights in 2020 after serving as the President of Bulletin Intelligence. Laxineta joined Bulletin Intelligence in 2013 and was previously responsible for the Bulletin Healthcare and Bulletin Media subsidiaries, which deliver must-read daily briefings to more than one million members of the nation’s premier associations, including the American Medical Association.
Laxineta began his career in newspaper publishing and has since held senior positions in market-leading business services and content marketing firms, where he focused on sophisticated and innovative bespoke solutions for customers operating across a range of industries.
Laxineta holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and School of Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
