Recently, we asked our customers to add to our list of the PR Podcasts We Recommend by telling us about the podcasts they recommend for fellow PR and marketing professionals. Here’s what they had to say:
Advertising is Dead with Varun Duggirala: Each week, host Varun Duggirala attempts to erase advertising’s “bad name” and digs deep into “the changes and developments in the business of advertising, branding, content, media and a whole range of issues that exist within the industry.”
The GaryVee Audio Experience: This isn’t your traditional podcast format (then again, entrepreneur, CEO, public speaker and giant ball of energy Gary Vaynerchuk isn’t your traditional guy). This “experience” consists of a mix of Vaynerchuk’s #AskGaryVee show episodes, keynote speeches on marketing and business, segments from his WEEKLYVEE video series and interviews, along with new thoughts and commentary. Buckle up!
The Spin Sucks Podcast with Gini Dietrich: Described as the “one-stop shop for modern communications,” this podcast examines how “the lines between PR, marketing, search, advertising, social and content continue to blur.” Going beyond just analysis, host Gini Dietrich encourages listeners to work together to make sense of it all and change the PR industry as a united front.
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast: Husband-and-wife team Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick, both successful entrepreneurs behind big-name brands, engage fellow entrepreneurs, athletes, best-selling authors, experts and thought leaders in "no holds barred conversations." (So if you like your conversations barred, skip this one.)
Grammar Girl Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing: While this podcast is a departure from marketing and PR per se, what communications professional can’t stand to improve their writing skills? This award-winning podcast offers “short, friendly tips to improve your writing and feed your love of the English language.” Sold!

Any PR pro worth their Mediterranean sea salt knows that a critical part of the job involves keeping a pulse on current events. These podcasts were recommended by customers for doing just that – in easy-to-consume, engaging content:The Daily, from The New York Times (billed as “the biggest stories of our time, told by the best journalists in the world.”); Start Here by ABC News (“straightforward look at the day's top news in 20 minutes”); and Up First (“The three biggest stories of the day, with reporting and analysis from NPR News — in 10 minutes.”)
