The following appointments have been announced at BBC News:
Marc Cieslak (@MarcCieslak) will be Technology Correspondent.
Steffan Powell (@SteffanPowell) to become a Gaming Reporter.
Jean MacKenzie (@jeanmackenzie) appointed as Seoul Correspondent.
Jordan O'Brien has been appointed Editor of the trade publication Electrical Review, succeeding Claire Fletcher, who led the publication through the pandemic. Claire was also editor of Data Centre Review, where she has been succeeded by Kayleigh Hutchins. Jessica Powell is now a Content Lead at Flo, the AI-powered women’s health app with more than 42M monthly active users worldwide. Previously Head of Content at Boots Health & Beauty and a freelance journalist working for brands including Women’s Health, Stylist, Cosmo, Marie Claire, Oh!, Netmums, and the BMJ, Jessica will now be focused on pregnancy content within Flo. As such, she’d love to hear from PRs, publishers, researchers (and anyone else!) about new trends, research, and releases in the pregnancy space. She's also keen to receive pitches from freelance content creators, especially those from under-represented backgrounds.
The Financial Times has appointed Kana Inagaki as Tokyo Bureau Chief. She will lead the team in Tokyo and be responsible for FT coverage of Japan’s economy, politics and foreign affairs. She will be the first Japanese woman in this position for the FT. Inagaki succeeds Robin Harding, the newly appointed Asia editor. Inagaki has served as the FT’s Tokyo correspondent since 2014. Prior to the FT, she reported on Japan at the Wall Street Journal, Kyodo News and the Associated Press.

Sian Cain recently started as Culture Commissioning Editor for Saturday magazine at The Guardian, where she was previously Online Editor, Books. Sian can be found on Twitter @siancain
Rebecca Lewis is now US correspondent for HELLO! magazine, based out of Los Angeles. She covers all verticals with a focus on film, TV, and celebrity, and is interested in US-based events, junkets, and screenings for a US and international audience. Deborah Cohen (@deb_cohen) has been appointed to the role of Science Editor at ITV News. Deborah is an award-winning, medically-qualified journalist who held the position of Health Correspondent at BBC Newsnight. Before this, she was the Newsnight UK Correspondent, covering science, health and social policy.
Henry Sandercock has left his role as Fresh Foods Reporter at The Grocer to become a Digital Journalist at national title NationalWorld. Alongside general news reporting, he’ll be writing stories and features on the food & drink industry. Henry can be found on Twitter @hgsandercock
News UK has announced the appointment of Erron Gordon as Executive Creative Director and Head of Studio Output for News UK Broadcasting as it builds towards the launch of new TV channel, talkTV. Gordon has spent 13 years at ITV and is currently Series Director of both GMB and Peston. He will join News UK Broadcasting at the end of the year. In his new role, Gordon will lead the creative direction of programming and channel branding across talkTV, including set design, on-screen graphics and sonic branding – as well as managing the studio teams and studio crews. Gordon will also be series director of the new global primetime show fronted by Piers Morgan and shown on FOX Nation in the US and Sky News Australia, as well as talkTV. He will report to News UK Broadcasting Executive Editor, TV, Winnie Dunbar Nelson.

Charles Harrison has joined Southwark News as a Reporter, who for a year will be covering the duties of Deputy Editor Katherine Johnston while she is on maternity leave. Charles will be reporting on Elephant and Castle, Walworth, Camberwell, Kennington, Peckham, Dulwich, Herne Hill, Sydenham and Crystal Palace.
