CNBC Digital has announced the addition of three new staff and the promotion of another:
· Lauren Feiner has joined the digital tech team as a reporter based in Englewood Cliffs. She has been with CNBC as a news associate since October 2018, and before was a podcast producer at Indicative, working on the “Deciding by Data” podcast. She has also interned at the New York Observer, Forbes, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, and the Boston Globe.
· Robert Ferris has joined the video team as a multimedia reporter. Most recently, he was a CNBC.com reporter, covering autos and the new frontier in transportation. He began his career in research before moving over to journalism.
· Adam Isaak has joined the San Francisco video team as a producer. Before CNBC, he was a freelance multimedia producer. In 2013 he led the team that created the weekly science podcast, “Inquiring Minds Podcast.”
· Kathryn Dill has been promoted to senior editor, upped from careers editor. She has been with CNBC since 2017 and before that spent three years at Forbes, initially as a reporter and eventually moving up to chief of reporters.
Michele Salcedo is the new breaking news desk editor at Axios. She comes from the Associated Press, where she spent a decade in the Washington bureau as an editor on the general news desk and as an editor on the Political Desk, working with political reporters covering the 2012 presidential campaign and high-profile congressional contests. Prior to the AP, she worked for the Sun-Sentinel as race and demographics editor.
Traditional Home will no longer publish a bimonthly print magazine. Most of its staff was let go, including publisher Beth McDonough. Editor in chief Jill Waage will remain at the publication. Meredith will produce limited, newsstand-only copies.
Reorg has recruited David Carnevali as a senior editor and will work on breaking news content on mergers and acquisitions and activism in the U.S. market. He comes from ActivistMonitor, where he most recently served as head of strategic activism and M&A. Before that he was a London-based reporter at DealReporter.
WCPT-AM, the Newsweb Radio progressive talk station in Chicago, has hired Santita Jackson to succeed Bill Press, who stepped down from the syndicated program he has hosted for 14 years. Jackson’s show airs weekdays from 6 to 8 a.m., and made its debut June 3. Jackson has previously hosted middays on Midway Broadcasting urban news/talk WVON-AM for more than five years before joining Fox News as a contributing political commentator in 2012.
Kelly Ryan has been promoted to full time co-host of “The Dean & Rog Morning Show” on KGLK-FM in Houston, Texas. She was most recently the traffic reporter and on-air talent and held production roles since she joined the Cox Media cluster in 2014.
iHeartMedia’s WFLZ-FM in Tampa, Florida has hired Nick Wize as assistant program director and afternoon host. He has spent the past year as APD for three of their stations in Tucson, Arizona, and afternoon host at KRQQ-FM. He has also served as APD at WKQI in Detroit and worked on-air at WDZH Detroit, WKSL in Jacksonville, Florida, and WPFM Panama City, Florida.
