CNBC has announced a couple of staff moves on the “Closing Bell” show:
· Marc Gilbert is moving from supervising producer of “Squawk on the Street” to the same position at “Closing Bell.” He has been with CNBC since 2014 and previously spent two years at Bloomberg LP as a production coordinator.
· Michael Newberg has been promoted to senior producer of “Closing Bell,” upped from coordinating producer. He has been with CNBC for seven years and started as a news associate.
Matt Haber is the new San Francisco bureau chief of Inc. magazine and covers technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is a veteran journalist who has worked Fast Company, Travel + Leisure, The New York Observer, and Village Voice. Since 1995 he has served as an editor/media consultant and his work has appeared in The New York Times, The Sab Francisco Chronicle where he penned “The New Guy” column, The New Republic, GQ, and Slate, among others.
The Wall Street Journal has hired Alexander Gladstone is a reporter covering financial distress, volatility, and restructuring. He comes from Debtwire, where he spent five years as senior reporter writing about leveraged and distressed companies in sectors including energy, aerospace and defense, logistics, transportation, and industrials. Before that, Gladstone sonnet two years in the Shanghai office of Mergermarket as a senior reporter/assistant editor.
After four years as managing editor and eight years at the publication Molly Dill has left the BizTimes Milwaukee. She joined the outlet in 2010 and since has covered business news in southeastern Wisconsin and managed the print and digital editions of the magazine. Dill has left journalism all together is now a director at gener8tor and gBETA Milwaukee, a venture capital and private equity firm.
MediaVillage has appointed Ginger Conlon editor in chief. She is an award-winning marketing journalist and has managed editorial operations for several leading publications. Most recently, she was the U.S editor for The Drum, and previously led Director Marketing News as editor in chief, 1to1 Magazine as editorial director, and CRM Magazines as editor in chief. MediaVillage is a content platform serving the media, advertising, marketing and entertainment communities.
Danielle Sacks has been tapped by Medium as executive editor. She comes from Inc. magazine, where most recently she served as executive editor and edited short, long-form, and data-driven features on entrepreneurs, startups, innovators and trends across a variety of industries Prior to that, Sacks worked for Fast Company for four years as a reporter and go-to writer for long-form features. During her tome there she profiled countless CEO's and business leaders, including Gap Inc.'s Art Peck, T-Mobile's John Legere, and Silicon Valley personalities.
KCSN-FM radio in Los Angeles has promoted two to leadership positions:
· Andy Chanley has been upped to music director in addition to his afternoon hosting duties. He has been with the station since 2018 and before spent a decade at KKLQ-FM.
· Mark "Mookie" Kaczor has been named program director, in addition to his Saturday evening hosting duties. He has been with KCSN-FM since 2016, when he joined the staff as music director.
Cameron Ridle has joined WRTV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a reporter. He was previously a reporter at KPHO-TV in Phoenix, Arizona, for two years and before that spent a year at WNEM-TV in Bay City, Michigan.
