The Washington Post has announced the addition of several staff changes across multiple desks:
Liz Vaccariello has been named VP/editor in chief of Real Simple. She was previously the VP/editor in chief of Parents and will continue to serve as content director for multiple Meredith brands. She joined the company in 20016 after four years as the chief content officer and editor in chief of Reader’s Digest.
Replacing Viccariello as editor in chief of Parents is Julia Edelstein. She was previously the executive editor of the magazine and has been with Meredith since March 2016. Prior to that, Edelstein worked for Hearst as the health editor of Good Housekeeping and Real Simple at Time Inc before that.
WKYC-TV, the NBC station in Cleveland, Ohio, has hired Romney Smith as a reporter. She joins WKYC from WTOC in Savannah, Georgia, where she served as an Anchor/Investigative Reporter. Prior to that, she was a morning anchor/reporter for ActionNewsJax, the CBS/FOX duopoly in Jacksonville, Florida.
