The Washington Post has named Greg Miller Europe-based investigative correspondent. He will begin his new duties in the summer. Miller is currently a national security reporter and covers U.S. intelligence agencies with a focus on terrorism, the Middle East and the increasingly paramilitary mission of the CIA and other spy services. He was among the reporters awarded the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for coverage of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and the fallout under the Trump administration. He joined The Post in 2010 after a 15-year tenure at the Los Angeles Times.  

Noah Weiland has been promoted to health policy reporter at The New York Times. He will continue being based in the Washington, D.C., where he most recently served as senior news assistant. Prior to that, Weiland worked for Politico's print magazine.

The Wall Street Journal has welcomed Sebastian Pellejero as markets reporter. He comes from Debtwire where he spent a year covering high yield capital markets with a focus on leveraged loans. Pellejero has also previously worked for Bloomberg and interned at BerlinRosen.

Rachel Evans has been promoted to managing editor for the global foreign exchange and rates team at Bloomberg News. She spent the past four-and-a-half years as an editor/reporter and spearheaded Bloomberg's biggest and best stories about exchange-traded funds, ultimately as head of ETF coverage. Evans has been with Bloomberg since 2011 and before that worked for EuroWeek Asia.

Crain’s Detroit Business has named Kelley Root executive editor, effective March 16, 2020. She comes from The Detroit News, where she held a series of senior editor roles since joining the staff in 2004. She was named managing editor in 2019 and supervised local and business news coverage as well as investigative projects and features.

Daniel Kohn is the new managing editor of Spin. He was previously the news editor of TheWrap and before that spent years as a freelance journalist with bylines at Rolling Stone, Playboy, VICE, Noisey, Paste, LA Weekly, and more. Spin covers the music industry, including trends, artists, new releases and live performances.

The SportsBusiness Journal has hired Chris Smith as a staff writer and covers the business of the Olympics and the intersection of sports and entertainment. He was previously a staff writer, SportsMoney at Forbes, and interned at C-SPAN.

Paige Hubbard has joined KFDM-TV (CBS) and KBTV-TV (Fox) duopoly in Beaumont, Texas, as multimedia journalist. She was previously an MJ at NTV Houston and graduated from Texas Southern University in 2017.
