The New York Times has named Jennifer Krauss children's books editor, replacing Maria Russo who left the paper on May 15. Krauss will continue writing the Paperback Row column and will contribute to the Book desk overall. She has been with The Times since March 2016 and before that spent three years as the executive editor of Federated Media Publishing Krauss has also worked for The New Republic as the assistant literary editor, deputy book review editor at New York Newsday and the arts editor at Talk magazine. Her book reviews have been published in The Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic and Newsday.
Elizabeth Crisp is the new Washington correspondent for Newsweek, covering the White House and Congress. She spent the past six years at The Advocate, most recently as Washington correspondent covering the Louisiana delegation and other regional political and policy issues. Prior to The Advocate, she covered the Missouri legislature and state government for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Colleen Carew has re-joined WZBA-FM radio in Baltimore as morning host, replacing Steve "Stash" Ash who left the station earlier in May. Carew comes from WKHI-FM in Newark, Maryland, where she was the PM drive host. She previously worked at WZBA from 2003 to 2017.
WOI-TV, the ABC station in Des Moines, Iowa, has hired Ryan Robertson as news director. He was previously the news director of at Wyoming News Now in Cheyenne, Wyoming, for two years, and before that served as assigning manager for KOLN/KGIN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska.
