Media Moves US,
SVP and editor in chief of The Cut, Stella Bugbee, has stepped down from her current role to become an editor at large at New York Magazine. She remains a senior member of the editorial team, working on journalism projects that span the entire print and digital magazine; she will also continue as an executive producer of The Cut podcast and write a regular column about culture, fashion, and politics. Bugbee took over The Cut in 2012 and has since helped shape the blog into a leading women's brand.
The Ledger, the daily newspaper serving Lakeland, Florida, and the Polk County area, has hired Maya Lora as growth and development reporter. She comes from the Miami Herald Media Company, where she was an intern on the Miami Herald's local government team and worked as a general assignment government reporter covering daily and enterprise stories across both Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette, the newspaper covering Northeastern Wisconsin, has announced two staff updates:
Elena Cherney is now editor, coverage at The Wall Street Journal. She was most recently an editor of the news features and special projects at the paper and has been on staff since 2014. Prior to that, she spent several years at The Globe & Mail, most recently as managing editor.
WLXC-FM, the urban adult radio station in Columbia, South Carolina, has moved program director Chris Connors to afternoons after spending the past several months hosting middays. Connors has been with the station since February 2020 and before that spent two decades at L&L Broadcasting.
Ramon Foster, the veteran Pittsburgh Steeler offensive lineman, has joined WGFX-FM sports radio Nashville as morning host, working alongside co-host Jason Martin. Foster retired from the NHL in March 202 and has since appeared as a personality on CBS Radio and CBS TV.
WCLY radio in Raleigh, North Carolina, has tapped Chris Edge as program director and host of the morning program, hosting the 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. hour. He is a veteran radio man and most recently served as senior VP of programming for iHeartMedia, overseeing Raleigh and Greensboro prior to his exit in 2019. He also programmed WDCG Raleigh, KGSR Austin and WNOU Indianapolis.
