Allure has welcomed Taylore Glynn as beauty and wellness editor. She also edits the magazine's astrology content as well as travel and food. Glynn spent the past several years at Marie Claire as a beauty assistant, an associate beauty editor, and most recently as the beauty and wellness editor. She has previously also worked for Maybelline Cosmetics.
Lorraine Forte has been named editorial page editor for the Chicago Sun-Times. Forte returns to the paper less than three months after she stepped down as a member of the editorial board to work for the Chicago Police Department of communications. Forte is also a former executive editor of The Chicago Reporter and former editor in chief of Catalyst Chicago.
The New York Times has brought on Anthony Rotunno as a staff editor on the Weddings desk. He comes to The Times from New York magazine, where he was a senior editor for the Strategist section and vertical. Prior to joining The Strategist in 2019, Rotunno served as the editor in chief of the Brooklyn Paper and a handful of other local weekly newspapers.
Andrew Solender has joined Axios as a reporter covering Capitol Hill. He was most recently a senior reporter at Forbes where he covered the White House, Congress, and politics. Prior to that, Solender was the editor in chief of The Vassar Insider, the political college newspaper of Vassar College
The Washington Post has welcomed two on the Video and Audio teams:
Neil Denslow has joined S&P Global Market Intelligence as senior news senior editor in London. He joins the staff from Bloomberg News, where he was a corporate credit editor for Europe and also ran the Asia transport team in Hong Kong.
The Wall Street Journal has hired Lizeth Beltran as the editor of the health and science desk. She was most recently an associate editor for Crain's New York Business and before that covered breaking news and politics on the video desk at The Daily Beast. Beltran has also worked at NBC News.
Adweek has hired Olivia Morley as a senior reporter covering media agencies. She was previously a product marketing manager at Pegasystems, where she managed all content on the Pega Community Blog, a new channel serving Pega Community members who want to improve their technical skillsets and develop professionally. Before that, Morley was an editorial strategist at Skyward and a senior research associate at Forrester.
Natallie Rocha will join The San Diego Union-Tribune on Nov. 15. as a reporter covering small business and workplace issues. She was most recently a research specialist/reporter at the San Diego Business Journal, where she reported on San Diego's healthcare and biotech community for two years. Before that, she interned at Dow Jones and Fortune Magazine.
FierceHealthcare has tapped Rebecca Torrence as a staff writer covering heath tech and digital health. She comes to the outlet from Bloomberg News, where she spent the summer as a healthcare news intern. She was also previously a features reporter for the Duke Chronicle, the student newspaper at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Chaim Gartenberg is the new senior reporter for The Verge covering gizmos, gadgets, buttons, and USB-C standards. He has been at the outlet since 2012, when he joined as an intern and most recently served as the news editor of the site.
WLS-TV, the ABC station in Chicago, has hired Trenier Ward as a reporter. He was most recently a reporter for WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore. Earlier he worked for stations in Louisville, Kentucky; Huntsville, Alabama; and Davenport, Iowa.
Bob Kessler has moved up to midday news anchor Tuesdays through Fridays at WGN 720-AM news/talk radio in Chicago. He was most recently the weekend and fill-in news anchor at the station and has been on staff since 2011.
James Bricknell is a new senior editor at CNET. He was previously a contributing writer at Future where he covered 3D printing, virtual reality, and gaming. Prior to that, he was a freelance writer for Android Central and has also served as editor in chief pf Just For Geeks.
WABE-FM, the NPR station in Atlanta, will welcome Sam Gringlas in December as a producer. He is currently wrapping up his duties at NPR and "All Things Considered," where he had been on staff since since 2016. He’s produced and reported with NPR from across the country, as well as China and Mexico, covering topics like politics, trade, the environment, immigration and breaking news.
Marc Weiner has shifted his position at CBS News and is now a producer of the Race & Culture unit. He spent the past two years as director of professional development at the network. Weiner is a veteran in the broadcast industry and has served as managing editor at News 12 Networks in New York, executive editor at Al Jazeera America, and a VP of news development at RNN-TV, Fios1 News.
