We still have a month left in 2022, but 2023 already has a well-developed schedule of unique events for journalists and bloggers. So start the new year off on the right foot by getting ahead on your schedule.

Multiple 2023 Dates: Pinners Conference & Expo
A full slate of these events for DIYers, crafters, photographers, and other creatives is available for 2023. The Pinners Conference schedule will kick off in February in Overland Park, Kansas, and make its way around the country, ending in Scottsdale, Arizona, in November. Check out the full schedule to see which city and date work for you.
Jan. 5-8: CES
CES is "the most influential tech event in the world." It will be returning to Las Vegas in 2023 for a live, in-person event. More than 2,000 exhibitors from all over the world will meet with hundreds of media attendees to discuss how their innovations are addressing global challenges. Sustainability is a key focus of the 2023 event. Other topics will include 5G, vehicle tech, cryptocurrency, digital health, the metaverse, and more.
Jan. 23-25: Affiliate Summit West
Mass publishers and bloggers alike will head to Las Vegas to attend Affiliate Summit West. Build new partnerships and learn new ways to build traffic to your site. The content tracks include eCommerce, Content & Commerce, a Publisher Demo, and more.
Jan. 31-Feb. 1: Lenfest News Philanthropy Summit
Register now for this "free virtual gathering focused on the transformative work of fundraising in sustaining essential journalism." Workshops, keynotes, and more will be available to attendees looking at how to transform philanthropy for news organizations. Topics will cover data utilization, fundraising plans for 2023, how to engage more diverse funders, and more.
Feb. 1-3: The Southern C Summit
The Southern C Summit welcomes female entrepreneurs for three days of workshops, mentor sessions, social gatherings, and (back by popular demand) a silent disco. Topics will cover the latest in e-commerce, media, marketing, and more. If you're passionate about blogging, wellness, fashion, food, art, or media, this is a great event to check out. Both virtual and in-person ticket options are available. The in-person event will take place in Sea Island, Georgia.
March 2-3: Tastemaker Conference
This popular food blogger event will take place in Chicago. Attendees will be treated to meals (of course), swag bags, workshops, panels, and food excursions around the amazing Chicago food scene. Sessions will cover photography, tips for repurposing content, DEI for content, and more. Attendees will also receive a free media ticket to The Inspired Home Show, which takes place March 4-7.
March 2-5: NICAR 2023
The 2023 data journalism conference will take place in Nashville, Tenn. The event will "offer a mix of panels, demos, discussions, networking, and hands-on data training." The full session schedule is TBD and the full session and speaker details will be released in early 2023.
March 2-4: WORKBENCHcon
WORKBENCHcon is a "growing network of diyers, makers, influencers & bloggers discovering new techniques, products and skills all while learning how to take their businesses to the next level." Sessions will cover topics like YouTube channel optimization, photography, and blog monetization, with more to come. It will be held in Atlanta.
March 3-5: Women’s Travel Fest
The tenth annual Travel Fest will return to New York City. Virtual tickets are available and include recordings of the weekend's sessions. In addition to an NYC walking and food tour, the session schedule includes workshops on publishing a travel memoir, starting a travel podcast, safety tips for solo travelers, and more.
March 9-12: IDEA Personal Trainer Institute
This event is ideal for fitness bloggers and vloggers. They can connect with other personal trainers, entrepreneurs, and business owners and learn new strategies to create change and get noticed in a crowded marketplace. Topics cover training techniques, nutrition, training science, and professional development.
March 10-19: SXSW
SXSW will welcome attendees back to Austin, Texas. "AI in Newsrooms: What’s the Impact on Journalism?" "Brand Building & Storytelling in the Digital Age," "Navigating Calculated Risk on Social Media," and an interview with Kara Swisher are just a few of the unique topics covered in the expansive schedule.
March 11-12: The Adventure Travel Show
If you're a travel writer that covers adventures that are a little offbeat or off the beaten track, check out the Adventure Travel Show. As the travel industry continues its rebound, learn about the newest destinations, travel tips, and more. Attendees will be able to boost their skills in travel photography and travel writing. The event will take place in London.
March 12-15: Alt Summit
Head to Palm Springs for the 2023 Alt Summit, which brings together thousands of women influencers and entrepreneurs and provides a "physical gathering place for that community and then incredible things happen."
April 19-23: Craftcation
Craftcation offers attendees more than 200 craft and business workshops. Visitors will "explore dozens of genres in our hands-on workshops where you’ll get instruction and inspiration to find your creative flow." The event will take place in Ventura, California, and will offer classes on dyeing, sewing, and much more.
April 19-23: International Journalism Festival
Perugia, Italy, will again host the International Journalism Festival. Proposals for session topics will be accepted through the end of 2022. A tentative schedule will be available in February, but for reference, the 2022 festival covered topics like data journalism, collaborative journalism, podcasting, AI, disinformation, and journalist wellbeing.
May 19-21: Women in Travel Summit
Creative entrepreneurs, influencers, and more travel experts will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for WITS 2023. They will "discuss future innovations, build dynamic collaborations, and change travel worldwide, all while supporting and empowering a diverse community." June 13-16: E3
E3 returns to an in-person experience in 2023 when it heads to the Los Angeles Convention Center. The 2023 expo will separate the industry and consumer events into separate days. June 13-15 will be dedicated to E3 Business Days and will concentrate on industry professionals and gaming media.
June 23-25: Craft + Commerce
Boise, Idaho, will host the event where "top online creators gather to help grow their businesses." Short stage talks, intimate workshops, and plenty of networking opportunities will round out the schedule. SEO, graphics design, social media, and freelancing are some of the topics that will be covered.
July 17-21: TBEX North America
Travel content creators will attend TBEX to boost their writing, photography, and video skills, network with other creators, travel experts, and tourist boards, and more. More than 30 workshops, sessions, and forums will cover content creation, SEO, social media, and influencer marketing. TBEX North America will take place in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Aug. 21-24: Podcast Movement
Podcasters and industry pros will head to Denver, Colorado, for Podcast Movement. The four days will include more than 150 educational sessions and workshops, networking events and parties, and a podcasting expo and trade show.
Aug. 23-26: ONA23
The Online News Association's annual event focuses on the future of digital media and will be held in Philadelphia. Attendees range from digital media audience and analytics professionals to news product, strategy, and business executives and entrepreneurs.
Sept. 1-3: Playlist Live
Playlist Live was created to help attendees learn about the future of digital video and social media. The three-day event brings together online creators and their biggest supporters. The 12th annual "ultimate creator event" will take place in Orlando, Florida.
Sept. 19-22: Global Investigative Journalism Conference
Gothenburg, Sweden, will host GIJC23. The 13th iteration of the event will feature "training on the latest tools and techniques, cutting-edge workshops, and extensive networking and brainstorming sessions."
Nov. 13-16: Web Summit
The "world's premier tech conference" will take place in Lisbon, Portugal. Educational masterclasses and roundtables will cover topics like deep tech, data science, design, and environmental sustainability
