The Modesto Bee has welcomed Kristin Lam as an accountability reporter covering cities in Stanislaus County including Ceres, Turlock and Patterson. She previously worked for USA TODAY as a breaking news reporter and reported from the Los Angeles bureau since joining the staff as a reporting fellow in the fall of 2018. Prior to that, Lam was a news intern at Mercury News.
Ron Nixon has been promoted to global investigations editor at the Associated Press. He oversees the investigative teams in Washington, the U.S. and overseas. He joined the AP a year ago from The New York Times Washington bureau, where he was homeland security correspondent. Before that Nixon was a data and investigative reporter at the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and the Roanoke Times, among other places.

Claudia Amezcua has joined KPTV-TV, the Fox affiliate in Portland, Oregon, as multimedia producer. She was most recently a digital producer for KGW-TV in Portland, and before that worked at KTVL-TV in Medford, Oregon, and KFXL-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska.
WHDH-TV independent station in Boston has hired Emily Pritchard as an anchor/reporter. She spent the past three years at KMOV-TV in St. Louis, Missouri, as a weekend anchor, and has previously also reported for KXTV-TV in Sacramento, California, and WBND-TV in South Bend, Indiana.
