Allie Jones is the new features editor at Domino. She comes from New York magazine where she was a columnist and writer for The Cut. Jones has also written for Gawker and contributed features to other outlets like The New York Times, GQ, Billboard, and Cosmopolitan.
The 19th, the non-profit, non-partisan news organization covering the intersection of gender, politics and policy, has hired Amanda Becker as Washington correspondent. She covers Congress and the Capitol's key players. Becker was previously at Reuters where she had served as a national political correspondent, a congressional correspondent and a labor correspondent.
Kellie Lunney will join Bloomberg Environment May 11 as a senior reporter. She spent the past three years as a reporter for Greenwire - E&E News and E&E Daily,and before that spent several years working for Atlantic Media as a reporter for Government Executive and the National Journal.
The Kansas City Business Journal has welcomed Thomas Friestad as a reporter covering commercial real estate. He was previously a business reporter for The Gazette in Iowa, where he reported on business in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City region, with story focuses including residential and commercial real estate projects. Before that, Friestad reported for Bucks County Courier Times in Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Kristen Kirchhaine is the new meteorologist for WTMJ-TV, the NBC station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She spent the past six years as a meteorologist for WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, and before that worked in the same capacity for WFFT-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
