Broadly, Vice’s newest platform focused on women’s interest has launched today. The site was pitched to Vice last year by Tracie Egan Morrissey, and was picked up on the spot. Egan Morrissey was working as an editor for Jezebel at the time, and now serves as the editor in chief and director of content for Broadly. The channel marks a departure from Vice’s historically boys-club culture that it has been known for and will feature stories from around the world covering everything from women’s health, fashion, culture, sex, history, and more. Broadly offers content made for women, by women, and about women and will provide a destination for original video documentaries, interviews, and written content.
