If your PAC filings aren’t compliant with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), you won’t be able to accomplish your goals for growth and participation for your PAC. But how can you best ensure compliance?
Trust the software that more corporations, trade associations, membership organizations and labor unions used to file their 2015 year-end disclosure reports with the FEC than any other vendor software: Cision (formerly Vocus) PAC compliance software.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Cision has received the honor. The same was true for the top 500 PACs overall, and was also true for the Top 500 Corporate PACs, the Top 100 Trade Association PACs, the Top 100 Membership Organizations and the Top 50 Labor Unions.
Of the top 1,000 PACs that filed with the FEC in 2015, Cision is used by 234 of them. Cision is used more than every vendor aside from the free FECfile software.
If we look at the top 500 corporate PACs, Cision rises above every other competitor. With 135 (27 percent), Cision beats even the free FECFile.
So in this year of divisive politics where both Washington and America seem divided on nearly everything related to politics, corporate America, trade associations, professional societies and labor unions can all agree on one thing: Cision is the industry’s choice for PAC management software to file with the FEC.
All data used was taken from the FEC’s website.
When a PAC files with the FEC electronically, the type of software used to file the report is included. Cision downloaded the 2015 Year-End Report data from the FEC for all qualified PACs that identified themselves as corporations, membership organizations, trade associations and labor unions. (Cision Government Relations does not sell to candidate committees, national or state parties or SuperPACs).
We then checked each 2015 year-end filing and noted the name of the vendor software used.
