CisionScoop: Jessica Cumberbatch Anderson said goodbye to ELLE Decor Online to work as a freelance journalist covering lifestyle, parenting, food, travel, and home topics. She worked at ELLE as site director beginning in 2015, and prior to that was editor for HuffPost Home.

CisionScoop: Over at Business Insider, Frank Chaparro has shifted his beats and now covers crypto market structures, digital wealth management, and Morgan Stanley. He was previously on the financial technology beat and joined BI in January 2017 as an intern; he became a permanent reporter in June 2017.

There have been some new additions at HuffPost:

  • Kenya Downs has departed from Public Radio International where she was a reporter and producer and will be joining HuffPost's Washington D.C. team as a podcast producer in May. Prior to PRI she also worked at PBS as a reporter and producer.
  • Also at the Washington D.C office, Lauren Weber joins the staff as enterprise reporter on the heath enterprise team covering pandemics, infectious disease and emerging public health threats. She has worked at HuffPost for four years, and is the founding editor of The Morning Email.
  • Liza Hearon will be leaving Mashable as deputy UK editor and joining HuffPost's London office as assignment editor on May 10. Prior to working at Mashable, she worked at The Wall Street Journal as homepage editor.

Bloomberg News will welcome a new corporate finance reporter, Antonio Vanuzzo , who starts at the London bureau in early May. He previously worked at Debtwire as a senior reporter covering European banks. h/t Talking Biz News

Sadie Gurman has joined The Wall Street Journal's Justice Department coverage team as a reporter. She recently departed from the Associated Press where she had worked as a reporter for both the Denver and Washington D.C. offices since 2014.

The Tampa Bay Times will have some newsroom shifts in early May. Graham Brink will make the transition from assistant managing metro editor to business columnist. He started at the Tampa Bay Times in 2014. Taking over his metro, politics and business beats will be deputy managing editor of politics, sports and features, Amy Hollyfield. She has worked at the Tampa Bay Times since 2009 and has held various positions, including government and politics editor and assistant managing editor.

Betsy Russell will say farewell to the Spokesman-Review , where she served as Boise bureau chief. She joins the Idaho Press-Tribune's Boise office on May 7 as bureau chief. Her blog Eye on Boise will continue from a new location to be announced once she starts the new role.

The Dayton Business Journal welcomed Hannah Poturalski as managing editor. She has worked for Cox Media Group Ohio since 2010, and most recently served as shared content coordinator at the company. 

Clarke Wolfe joined the internet show GetFANDOM as senior host and producer. Previously she worked at Nerdist Industries as a correspondent and writer, Fox as a host and producer, and Geek Nation as a co-host. GetFANDOM covers movies, television, and video games.
