CisionScoop: Barret Wertz has joined AskMen.com as content editor handling style and grooming. Wertz comes from Men's Fitness, where he spent the last four years writing about style, grooming and beauty, most recently on a freelancer basis. Prior to that, he worked in the marketing division of Suitsupply. 

CisionScoop: iDownlaod Blog has welcomed Bryan M. Wolfe as contributing writer covering mobile apps, smart phones, Apple and Google. Wolfe previously spent eight years as the managing editor of AppAdvice Daily; he also contributes to TechKnowie and MakeUseOf. 

CisionScoopAnthony L. Fisher is now senior editor at The Week, covering national news and managing the front of the book. He previously spent three years at the magazine as a contributor writing about politics, sports and pop culture for The Week Online. Fisher will also continue his duties as a columnist for The Daily Beast. 

The New York Times has promoted and added the following staff to its Culture desk: 

  • Jeremy Egner was upped from assistant TV editor to TV editor. He will lead all TV staff, including critics and the staff members of Watching. Egner has been with NYT since 2008. 
  • Aisha Harris has succeeded Egner as assistant TV editor. She has been a culture writer at Slate since 2012, and also hosts the weekly podcast Represent, which focuses on film and television from the perspectives of women, people of color and LGBTQ communities. 
  • Joshua Barone is now a senior staff editor. He was previously the culture desk editor for five years and joined NYT in 2014 as a news assistant. 

Jenny Hollander has been named deputy editor for Marie Claire Online. Hollander previously spent five years at Bustle where she worked in a variety of positions,  most recently as senior editor. She had joined Bustle as an intern in 2013. 

San Antonio Express-News business editor Dawn Kopecki has left her position at the paper to join CNBC Online as an editor covering retail, health care and other industries. Kopecki spent almost three years at the Express-News, and prior to that reported for Bloomberg News and Bloomberg Businessweek. h/t Talking Biz News

Fox-affiliated WNYW-TV in New York has parted ways with weekend anchor Christina Park, who left the station on her own accord. Park was anchoring the 6pm and 10pm weekend newscasts, and had been with the station since 2007. Prior to that, she anchored for CNN Headline News. 

WDBJ-TV, the CBS affiliate for the Roanoke-Lynchburg, Virginia, market has hired Victoria Wood as sports anchor. She comes from WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she was a reporter for two years. Prior to that, she spent almost a year at WSET-TV as morning news editor. 

Tanaya Macheel has joined Cheddar as reporter covering fintech and cryptocurrency. She was previously an editor for Tearsheet, and prior to that reported for American Banker. Cheddar is a  streaming digital video service that broadcasts live daily from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. h/t Talking Biz News

Longtime Time Out Chicago staffer Kris Vire is no longer with the publication. He was most recently a senior editor for the magazine overseeing theater, dance, movies, comedy, travel, and LGBTQ related topics. He joined the staff as a contributor in 2005.
