CNBC has announced the promotion of two producers, one part of the “Halftime Report” show and the other on “Fast Money.”
· Prashant Patel has been named executive producer of “Halftime Report.” He is a 13-year CNBC veteran and has worked on many of the network’s shows. Before CNBC, Patel spent five years at Bloomberg News as a TV producer.
· Kevin Flynn has been named Executive Producer of “Fast Money.” He was most recently a supervising producer for “Worldwide Exchange” and joined CNBC in 2010 as a senior producer.
Isabel Togoh has joined the London bureau of Forbes as a breaking news reporter for Europe and U.S. She was most recently a reporter for HuffPost UK and has also had stints at Press Association, the Guardian, Link Ethiopia and the BBC. She holds a master’s in journalism from the University of London.
Bloomberg Technology has welcomed William Turton as a reporter covering hackers and cybersecurity. He previously spent two years as a tech reporter for VICE News Tonight and before that has covered cybersecurity for The Outline, Gizmodo and The Daily Dot. Turton has also contributed to CBS Interactive.
John DeVore has developed a new blog titled Humungus and covers the intersection of pop culture and masculinity. The blog is hosted on Medium. DeVore serves as the new outlet’s editor in chief. He comes from Woolly, a custom publication he created and launched, and published by Casper with the help of literary publisher McSweeney’s. Before that Devore served as an editorial consultant for Someecard, Inc.
CBS/CW-affiliated television station, WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky, has hired Laurel Bloom as a producer. She comes from WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama, where she served as a producer for two years. Before that, she worked as a reporter/producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri.
Jason Wildenstein will join NBC’s WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Aug. 5 as the general manager of the station. Most recently he served as the vice president and general manager of WTXL-TV, the ABC Affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida, under Raycom Media. Prior to the station’s purchase by Raycom Media in 2017, Wildenstein served in the same role under Calkins Media Incorporated. He was with the company more than 13 years, and served as director of operations and production, director of news and director of interactive media.
