AP Correspondent Juan Carlos Llorca Passes Away

Cision Blog regrets to inform its readers that Juan Carlos Llorca has passed away. He was a correspondent covering immigration and the drug war along the U.S.-Mexico border for the Associated Press in El Paso, Texas since 2011. Before he joined the AP, Llorca’s extensive reporting uncovered illegal international adoptions in Guatemala that led to adoption reform in 2008. He also served as a political writer for El Periodico de Guatemala and was selected for a Scripps Howard Foundation journalism fellowship in Washington in 2002.
