CisionScoop: Editor Melissa Romero stepped down at Curbed Philly to join Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park Conservancy. Romero joined the local real estate blog in November 2015, and was previously an associate editor at Men’s Health. Her writing has appeared in Washingtonian magazine, Women’s Health, Runner’s World and USA Today.

CisionScoopAriella Gintzler joined Outside magazine as assistant gear editor. Most recently, she was assistant editor at Trail Runner since 2016. Gintzler has also freelanced for Rock and Ice.

The Washington Post brought on Mary Jo Murphy as an editor for its Outlook and PostEverything team. Murphy comes to the paper from The New York Times, where she spent more than two decades in a variety of roles including weekend arts editor and deputy media editor.

Britt Aboutaleb has shifted positions at Vox Media and is no longer editor in chief at Racked. Before joining the website in 2016, Aboutaleb was managing editor at Yahoo Style, editorial director at Byrdie and fashion news editor at ELLE.

Margaret (Peggy) Collins has assumed oversight of endowments coverage at Bloomberg News in addition to her role as investing team leader. Collins previously reported on retirement savings, tax policy and wealth management for the news service, which she joined in 2009. h/t Talking Biz News

The Chicago Sun-Times added Lorraine Forte to its editorial board, effective March 12. Forte served a previous stint at the Sun-Times as a reporter from 1996 to 2000. She was most recently executive editor of the Chicago Reporter, and editor in chief of Catalyst Chicago before that.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel announced two appointments at the top of its masthead:

  • Nancy Meyer has been named general manager for the southeast at tronc, which includes oversight of the Sun-Sentinel. Most recently, Meyer was president of the North Jersey Media Group, part of the USA Today Network. She has previously served as publisher of the Orlando Sentinel and the Hartford Courant.
  • Julie Anderson has joined the paper as editor in chief, replacing Howard Saltz. Anderson has been a senior vice president at the Orlando Sentinel Media Group since 2016. She previously worked for tronc, then Tribune Publishing, as vice president of digital publishing in Florida.

Reporter Melanie Kendall was picked up by KMBC-TV, Kansas City’s ABC affiliate. She previously reported for WTVQ-TV in Lexington, Kentucky and WFXL-TV in Albany Georgia.
