CisionScoop: Mattie Kahn is now a senior editor for Glamour. Most recently, she was a staff writer for ELLE.com, where she worked for more than two years. A Harvard graduate, she has also written for The Man Repeller and ABC News.
CisionScoop: Curbed DC bid farewell to Michelle Goldchain, who served as editor for three and a half years. An accomplished journalist, she has previously written for Washington City Paper, DCist, Recode, and Vox.com.
Business Insider has seen a few adjustments in staff:
- Reporter Frank Chaparro has changed his coverage, from financial technology and young Wall Street culture, to equity and crypto market structure, digital wealth management, and Morgan Stanley.
- Lauren Johnson has joined the outlet as a senior advertising reporter, covering digital media. She comes to Business Insider after four years at Adweek, where she most recently served as senior technology editor. h/t TalkingBizNews
Nadia Reiman, former producer for Latino USA on NPR/National Public Radio, has now joined the team at This American Life as a producer. She was with NPR since April 2012, most recently as senior editor.
In the wake of Leader's Edge editor in chief Rick Pullen's departure from the magazine, former associate managing editor Sandy Laycox has been promoted to the new top position. She served in her former role at Leader's Edge for over two years, and before that, as a senior writer and editor for America's Essential Hospitals.
Dred Scott is the new morning host for KZOT-FM, 95.3 FM in Fort Bragg, California. As an on-air personality, Scott has worked for KTIM in Marin County, KVRE in Sonoma County, KFOG in San Francisco, 91X San Diego and KLSX in Los Angeles.
After nearly seven years as an editor for Patch, Tony Schinella has left the company to work for New Hampshire's Department of Education. While at Patch, Schinella was one of the first journalists to write on the opioid crisis at length in the New Hampshire area, and has won several journalism and broadcasting awards.
