CisionScoop: TVGuide.com has updated the top of its masthead by adding two editors:
- Jimmy Jellinek joins the outlet as editor in chief. He has more than 20 years of experience in media and previously served as editor in chief for Complex, Stuff and Maxim magazines, as well as chief content officer at Playboy.
- Noelene Clark is TVGuide.com's new managing editor. She has spent the past three years at Entertainment Weekly, and before that has worked at the Los Angeles Times, where she oversaw Hero Complex, a genre entertainment site.
Both Jellinek and Clark are based at CBS Interactive’s Los Angeles offices, and will be responsible for driving the editorial vision for TVGuide.com.
Current Associated Press international investigations editor, Trish Wilson, will leave the newswires to join the staff of the Washington Post as environment editor August 13. This is a new position under WaPo's National Desk, where Wilson will cover environment and climate change and lead the new team. She has been with the AP since 2011, and before that reported for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Maya Salam has joined the Gender Initiative at The New York Times as a writer, effective July 16. She will cover gender, feminism, and LGBT Issues. Salam was previously a senior staff editor on NYT's Express, and prior to that worked for Yahoo! and the Associated Press.
The Wall Street Journal has hired Rachael Levy as hedge fund reporter. She comes from Business Insider where she covered the same beat since 2016. Prior to that, she worked for FundFire, a Financial Times company, as well as Euromoney Institutional Investor.
Cesca Antonelli has been promoted to editor in chief of Bloomberg BNA. She was previously a senior executive editor for Bloomberg News, responsible for data visualization, graphics and visual media. She has been with Bloomberg for 19 years as a reporter and editor in five bureaus in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Splinter has parted ways with politics reporter Emma Roller, who left the outlet after a little over a year on staff. Roller was previously a senior politics reporter for Fusion Online, and before that contributed to The New York Times as campaign stops writer.
Clarissa Ward has been named chief international correspondent for CNN. She will continue to be based in London, and her reports will be featured on all CNN platforms. Ward joined the network in 2015 as senior international corespondent, and has since produced war reporting from Iraq and Syria. Prior to that, she worked for CBS News as foreign correspondent.
WSJS-AM, the sports radio station in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has hired Josh Graham as afternoon host. He will host the Drive from 3- 6 p.m. Graham was previously the sports director and host for Game Time on WRHD-FM in Farmville, North Carolina.
Dani Ruberti has joined KUSI-TV, the independent television station in San Diego, California, as weekday reporter and weekend morning weather anchor. She previously spent three years at WVLT-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee as weather anchor, and before that worked on the news desk of TMZ.
Following the abrupt exits of Ayson Braddock and Sean Jones from iHearMedia sports KBME-AM in Houston, the station has announced Sean Salisbury as their replacement. Salisbury joined the staff as PM Drive on-air personality effective July 9, and fills the 3-6 p.m slot. The former NFL quarterback has hosted local and national shows for Gow Media and beIN Sports for the last five years.
